And glorious vicefic at that. Is there any other kind? I have missed you way with words. I’m smiling at the very first line! You do a very nice thing in this piece, where everything is a bit personified, objects and ideas and actions – they're all … more alive, somehow. More – a part of the story than things existing in the story, if that makes even one bit of sense!
Ha! I love how completely absorbed Blackwood gets in writing. And just, the fact that Coward stays. You really wonder what Coward was thinking for the time he stood there. And mmmm, so much love for spoiled vicious Coward. Isn't he a pretty thing. You make *us* want to slap that smug little smirk off his face, and then we get to ! Well, vicarious enjoyment. :p
Not sure why just that little detail of Coward's shoes, the way he's walking, creates so much characterization, but it's brilliant. He's … such a child. And there's that little bit about Coward being manipulative – makes me wonder how this would be, read from a view of Coward playing Blackwood into this.
House. Hooooooooouse! :D Is totally like a big scary thug looming over Blackwood's shoulder or something.
And Coward is just so … he's quite lost, here. Sad.
Argensjranerokalwefmc. "It will explain the bruises at least," Blackwood says. and the slap! *incoherence* Just. Gorgeous.
You have to wonder what exactly it is that Coward wants here. Even more, what he thinks he wants, how different the two might be.
does not know what he is offering OH BUT DOES HE? No, I don't think this Coward does, unopened little thing that he is, but still.
