Ah, I think I said it on chat, but the fact remains – this is so much about poor Coward, poor Coward. Giddy, happy Coward, and his sheltering, the tiny cracks that nearly do him in. Such a different Coward than I'm used to seeing from you. Love it.
Daniel's smile falters, begins to flicker on his face and he's sure he can feel one of his moods coming on (little tempests, Henry calls them fondly) Jesus. Mercurial. More brittle than frozen glass. That's – stunning.
God. It's terrifying, their happiness. How is it possible that this scares and sets me to shaking so much more than something like Sanzaru?
Maybe it's their utter disregard. It's perfect, and frightening, and the contrast of their ridiculously giddy love for each other, so wrapped up in each other that they can see nothing else with this disdain, this callowness towards others that just, is too much to bear.
Maybe it's that we're seeing this all though this shattered lens that is Coward, is a Coward of fragmented parts and cracks and shifting, unreasonable mind that isn't aware of his own turmoil. Your Coward has always seemed aware that something is off when he starts to lose it, but you get the sense that this Coward doesn't even care to think of it.

Breathtaking.
